About Sharon

Author Sharon Longworth first published Menopause and the Latter-Day Bride in August 2015, republishing in December 2022 as Spiritual Menopause and the Latter-Day Bride. With further revision and republication, edition three is titled The Beauty of Holiness.

Sharon exemplifies how God uses ordinary people to promote His extraordinary purposes. She puts pen to paper as God inspires and instructs her to do so, all for His glory, not her own. Sharon began writing when realising that God would have her tell her story, having seen the original title in a vision. With previously limited writing experience, Sharon is happy to admit that she has no claim to formal accolades as a literary expert.

Besides her newfound love for writing, Sharon has been a qualified hairdresser for over 45 years. She has owned three salons and is currently operating a mobile hairdressing business, tending mainly to the elderly and infirm. Her love of music and singing has seen her involved in church worship, also solo and choir work, including having the lead female role in a musical produced by her local Baptist Church. She has been in the cast of Taree Arts Council productions and the Greater Taree City Coral Society. Her other interests include spending time with family, reading, writing poetry and scrapbooking.
Sharon and her husband Andrew are blessed with two beautiful adopted children (now adults). Their daughter Nimali was born in Sri Lanka, and there son, Christopher, in India. They have a wonderful son-in-law Matthew, and two precious grandchildren, Thomas Royce and Minnie Grace.

Sharon and Andrew are self-employed business owners in the hairdressing and building trades. They reside at Bulahdelah on the beautiful mid-north coast of NSW, Australia.
